Publication Announcement!

… and it’s published! Much excitement at being able to announce the availability (Amazon or here) of my latest collection of poems, Lost Time.

Lost Time brings together a collection of poems written during the last two to three years. There are poems that relate to Place, the Sea (always a strong theme for me), Writing, Memories and Time… and a few poems brought about by Covid and lockdown found their way in at the beginning.

Brought together, the poems are (I suppose) exactly as described in the first of the 17 Life Tercets:

A story about
an old poet
and his cottage

New Title!

What will the next cover be?

We are pleased to announce that our new title, When I am not Writing Poetry will be available at the end of February. This collection of short stories – some very short and one almost the length of a novella – was written during the latter half of 2020… my only excuse being that I was stuck in front of my computer during the Covid lockdown! And there are only so many poems I can write! I needed a change!

Several of the stories make oblique reference to the Covid ‘plague’ but other tales are a reflection of my earlier life, a half-dozen of them going all the way back to my time at sea! Regular readers – of both my poems and my fiction – may notice a tendency to link themes to the sea! And if not the sea, then the horizon!

The sea is always there!

Don’t forget you can buy the latest titles directly from here!

Art Trail Magazine

The Ceredigion Art & Craft Trail (CACT) were kind enough to feature me in the Autumn/Winter edition of art trail magazine which can be read online here. CACT was formed to raise the profile of artists and craftspeople in Ceredigion, which it does through their website and through a number of exhibition-sales throughout the year. The next will take place at The Bandstand in Aberystwyth from Thursday 15th – Saturday 17th December. It is advertised on Facebook as a fantastic opportunity to buy unique, locally-made Christmas presents direct from the artists and makers.

I shall be there!
